Has anyone applied the full monty to the non-skid surfaces. IG says not to because it becomes slippery when wet. Any one try it anyway and what were your results?

I was talking with a rigger about waxing the

non-skid. He said, "Absoulutly" . I gave it a try. I applied it with a wax machine, No Problem. Then I went to remove it with the machine, Problem. I had to remove it by hand, but it was worth it. I love it when I can just rinse down the boat and all those stains just rinse off. I did notice that it was a LITTLE more slippery at all times, but that is what the hand rails and life lines are for. Make sure you do it early in the morning before the sun has time to bake it in. GOOD LUCK!!! P.S. I am just a weekend cruiser and some old salties might disagree.

Sealant or polish for non-skid

Only product that I have found that is safe for use on non-skid is Aurora Sure-Step Deck Polish which is available at Boaters World Marine Centers or at www.boatersworld.com.It does not get slippery when wet and is effective at sealing the deck and making washing easier. A non-skid that is slippery when wet seems to defeat the primary reason for having a NON-skid deck!
