Only Tried Poli-Glo
I haven't used Island Girl, but Poli-Glo is a winner in Michigan. After cleaning the hull with Poli-Prep to remove oxidation and residual wax (I probably should have done this step better), I put 7 coats of Poli-Glo on the boat (not as bad as it sounds. You can put all seven coats on before you move to the next spot, and each coat dries fairly rapidly). My 14 year old boat shown like it was new. The next year, it looked better than it usually did after a fresh coat of wax, but a quick wash with soap and water and two additional coats had it shining like new again. I would strongly recommend Poli-Glo over wax.
