Is there a best way to ventilate a C-30?

I am using a dehumidifier (one of those round cans that fans out warm air) and a slightly open hatch in the head along with a pellet bag in the hanging locker. Id does not seem enough. I suppose the more the better. I was thinking a small house fan on the nav station set to low while sitting at the marina. Is this a fire hazard? I am resisting a solar fan in the head because of the price and install may be a hassle. Also I am not sure a regular house fan would not do a better job. How about two small fans from West Marine that go on a boat? I am also resisting a solar fan in the hatch in the v-bunk area as it could be a trip over item while on deck and I do not like the way they look. Thanks -CW

Solar vent fans

Hi Chip, I have 3 solar vent fans in my C350. - Forward cabin hatch, intake - Galley, exhaust - Head, exhaust They work great and keep fresh air in the boat at all times. They build up enough charge during the day to keep them running all day and night. Jack "Friendship" C350, #80

one solar vent does the job for me

I've got a solar vent installed in the plexi hatch just aft of the mast. Never stops, never in the way, ventilates quite well. I even left it in place when I sailed the boat here. Two would be better, one set to exhaust, the other as an inlet but I liveaboard and open the boat up for many hours every day. You could try the little hatch auto closer Yandina sells.
