Invest 99 L is still not even organized. It will track over the Bahamas and into South Florida at probably ±40 mph winds and maybe 6" rain at worst spots. The waters temperature on this track is 1° above average (not too high for intensifying)

This is solely my Prediction ahead of news... Take it as you wish;)

99L is running into the southern edge of a High pressure front, now over North FL.
This is another "punch in the face" of an already punch drunk storm.

So by Late Saturday and early Sunday South FL will see 99L. As it passes the High, it should turn in behind that High and head up the east coast as a weak storm.

The upper air steering current are trying to push 99L into the Gulf. So it may swing more over Central FL as 99L dies.
Jim...

PS:Gaston is dying as predicted in Mid Atlantic (Which should be the trend for most African born storms this season). The storm is soon going hit the same High as mentioned above, which will push it more N and East.

Jim, don't know if you'd seen this site: http://www.beaumontweather.com/
Based out of Beaumont, but has all the appropriate NOAA imagery and stuff from the Navy.. The imagery covers the entire Gulf coast and the Atlantic.. Lots of good weather info in one place..

shhhh don't give away my secrets.

Actually, a best friend is the site weather, tides, currents, temperatures manager for the Navy at NASA test site. It has top secret weather intel for the SEALS around the world using Military networks, plus the SEAL Boat teams training is near here. She pointed to some Non-Classified info the not readily accessible to the general public. It used to be open to search, but the "Surfers" would hog their servers to forecast "fun in the sun".
__________
Invest 99L has winds 30 mph , barely a tropic wave. The computer models are now turning North as I predicted post#1. Eeeekkk one earlier model showed hitting Mandeville on Friday next week.

Fact: Man has yet to predict weather correctly for more than 5 days. Normally only 3 days.

Invest 99L just got upgraded to Tropical Depression 9 (Still only 30 mph) and is going further into the Gulf than I expected. It is forecast to turn back on Florida as I guessed, but the problem is it slowed down ( or got so beat up that they didn’t know what happened to it)

I don’t believe it will ever make Hurricane status, but winds may get up to 60 mph before eventual land fall in USA. It looks like North Central Florida.

_____
Tropical Depression 8 formed off Carolinas and will knick NC and give some good rainfall. That part of the Atlantic is about 3° higher than average.
TD8 should turn to the NNE by Wednesday and head out into the Atlantic.

Keep an eye on the storm that won’t die in the Gulf TD 9 …
Jim...

PS: TD 9 is still full of it, I mean rain. ( pssst don't tell anyone but it is a weird year from end of el niño.:shhh:)
