PVC strips in the V-berth would work well for me.
I do love the look of teak, and that was a great idea using salvaged teak. I bet that table does look nice.
I think you talked me into a new project.

how far apart did you space the horizontal strips?

how far apart did you space the horizontal strips?
The teak is not spaced apart. It solidly covers the Armaflex. The 1/8" thick "boards" varied from 7" to 11" wide.
The biggest problem I had was trimming the opening portlights. I had replaced them all with New Found Metal stainless portlights and I couldn't find trim that exactly matches the curved corners.

Yeah, I'm sure the solid wall looks better than slats. The table came out very nice.
Well I'm going to have to wait until it cools down some (or a lot) before I start this project. On the central East coast of Florida, this means Nov / Dec timeframe. With Temps like we have now I wish I lived in your area. BC can be overcast and chilly at times, but it is an extremely beautiful place. I'll be sure to post some pictures when it's done. Thanks for all your ideas.
