Has anybody installed this alcohol stove on a Catalina 30. I'm looking for tips on how to install it above the two drawer unit with the pump alcohol stove. I would take out the old stove. Will this stove fit in and is it possible to end up with the bread board level on top of the new stove like on the old unit? Any tips and guidelines from somebody who has seen this done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ed, I left the old stove's stainless casing in place. The Origo 3000 just sits inside it and I can close the cutting board lid over it. I was going to attatch it with L brackets but find I don't have to. I cut a sheet of "scoot guard" and put it under the stove. Even sailing at a 40% heel the stove sits tight. By the way, if you are new to the Origo 3000, it is a great stove.

I ended up installing the oven unit but found the same thing Chris did. If I just wanted to replace the stove, I could have left the stainless casing from the alcohol stove & the stovetop of the Origo would have fit right in. As it was, I had to do a little cutting but I just love that oven! Fresh baked cinnamon rolls (the frozen kind) in the morning wakes you up better than coffee!! LaDonna

I installed the Origo 3000 3 years ago and it was one of the best improvements I made. All I had to do was remove the old burners and stainless cover of the old stove. I left the rails from around the old stove and the Origo fit in. I used 2 screws to hold it down. I kept the oven because I use it to heat certain foods up. Go for it you will like it.

Does origo make an oven also, or did some Catalina models come with an oven below the old stove? Is an oven available too at this point, to go with this stove? Thanks for your help

The Origo 6000 includes the stovetop and the oven. Same system and it works really well (not as well as propane but surprisingly well). Check out the link to Origo's site.
