Installation of speakers on the arch. Hunter 320.

Hi, i Own A Hunter 320 and I would like to add speakers on the arch. I found the wires in the master bed room. I want to confirm if I have to make a hole in the arch and on the port side of the arch support to get pass to new wires.

Anyone have pictures or suggestions? Thanks for your support.

Seen them set up like that with blue lights for night time. Hope someone can help you.

Check the port and starboard sides where the is bolted to hull 2 on each side to see if a hole is there and most likely will need to drill hole at top but not sure if hunter predrills the arch.

I did need to drill my 2001 290.

Do your homework. Check and see if there is any truth to a report that the arches on the h320 early models were plugged at the base. I recall hearing something about how the arch would need to be removed so that holes could be drilled and the wiring routed inside the arch. At the time we were thinking of installing some speakers in the arch and just decided to run wires on the outside.

Not knowing when you may have a hole probably on the starboard side in the fiberglass and base. Suggest you look where the bolts are secured from the inside via I think in the either the port or starboard lazwerette lockers. You will have to look upward and suggest a flashlight and a small stick to take with you to see if there is such a hole. Generally two inches wide. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. I checked and no hole was done on either side.. I made one last night and was able to pass a cable. I will drill the arch today. It seems it was either that or to do wires outside..

Be sure and add a L-Pad for volume control, if you don't have Blu-Tooth volume control.

I think from 2000 Hunter changed to stainless arch and best thing they ever did and many
Boaters started adding some kind of arch on many sailboat and power boats
And I have seen many sailboats have added a rear arch for radar solar and Davits and idea for sure and think Hunter took over manufacturing the arch by Hunter.
I have had 2 Hunters with an arch and now on my 2007 H-36 I even have 2 195 watt panels attached to the arch and over my Bimini.
