I am looking at a 1995 Vision 36 that has had the following work done.

1. Injected epoxy resin into longitudinal stringers. Survey said they were weak?
2. Removed mast - Dug out mast step - Installed new mast step - Glassed in place -
Installed mast.

Has anyone else experienced these type of repairs and are they common?
Thanks for your help,
Greg

Greg, there are not that many, so I doubt you'd get replies. I had a V32. As long as I have been on this board; almost from the beginning, this is the only time I have ever heard of these issues. Having said that, the hull construction isn't any different from the several thousand Hunters built in the same era, and I have never heard of that either. To what did they attribute the cause?

Thanks Rick. They didn't say. Sounds like this boat has problems. The curent owner said it came up on a survey and the boat yard injected the resin in the stringers to make them stronger? Sounds like this boat has problems. It also had the past step redone. I also am going to look at a 1989 Vision 32. How did you like your V32?
