We took our Achilles SU-12 inflatable out of storage today - ready to go to Emerald Bay next week - someone has stolen back 4 floorboards. Anyone have any experience replacing these? What about using thick plexi-glass instead? Dinghy store in LA wanted 0.648 BU for a set. I think we can cut something ouselves...probably for less.

Plexi is expensive. Try 1/4 inch waterproof plywood if it is abailable. Or non waterproof 1/4 inch and coat with clear fiberglass resin. Make a tempelate out of corregated cardboard, illustration board or foam core from an art supply store to make sure the boards will fit. Also try the inflatable store on Washington a few stores north of Lincoln. they might have something.....sorry i can't remember the name. Enjoy emarld. We like 4th of July better....less rocky but of curse not as pretty....

Inflatable boards

Thanks Roger. Debusk is going to cut some marine plywood for us and I made aluminum H channels by welding together two C-Channels back to back. I tried the inflatable store - is it dolphin?? (don't remember) and Anderson's both estimated $700 for ordering from Achilles. So far Aluminum $15 / Welding $45 / Wood and cut about $150....
