Think of all the craftsmanship that went into that build. Thousands of man hours. It's really a shame. The world moves on…..

In case of heavy rain

Heavy primer then two coats of paint. That's some project boat. It breaks my heart to see somebody's dreams deteriorate like that. It may be more cost effective to have another one built in Taiwan. Maybe CharlieCobra is looking for another project.

Need a couple of winches? They could not pay me enough to haul it away. It owes $5,000 LOL.

.... a gallon of kerosene and a match would do that boat a lot of good.

I think Charlie only works on boats that have potential. That boat is butt-ugly even if you could look past the debris.

Oh goody, a nearly free boat I can put a gazillion hours of work into and almost as much money. Oh goody, goody, goody!

FYI..... Charlie has needed to shut down. You can search the Bellingham newspapers for more info. There was a thread on another site that was quite disconcerting. All I am comfortable commenting on as it needs to play out.

Its a legal issue. The thread got locked at the other site with good reason as we have a legal assumption in the US. All I am comfortable saying as one, I don't want to hijack this thread anymore and the only reason I said anything is people brought up his name, two as I said, it is a legal issue and all the facts must come out before any further discussion should happen.

That boat reminds me of the dream boat I saw working in a marina. The family would buy it with grand dreams and short bank accounts. They would arrive week in and out then less and less until finally the storage wasn't paid. Eventually it was abandoned and we parted out what was salvagable and smashed it up for landfill. Sad to see the dreams and anxious faces disappear only leaving the object of their affection turned to fill. One in particular was a Chesapeake Bay Skipjack that went through three owners before we crushed it. Hope Charlie Cobra comes out OK. I really enjoy seeing a master restorer and his work.

The fat little tug-ish looking sailboat in the background has some interesting lines. If mine I'd name her Gordita:D
