I'm in a predicament!

My son has been treated for cancer for the last 6 months so I've had to use my vacation time to accompany him and there's nothing left. My hauling company only hauls on weekdays. Has anyone hired someone to move their boat from bringing it to the dock and then hauling. This may seem like a frivolous post however I can't leave work w/o vaca time. Any suggestions helpful!

If I was in the area I would offer you an hand, I presume the boat is on a mooring and all you need is an able body to move it to a hoisting well? Correct?

IF it is within the same harbor, the hauling marina will probably do it for a very small fee using a workboat. Common.

This or Vessel Assist commonly moves boats to the yard without the owner in our harbor.

Yes, I know it's early however around these parts it starts to get quite cold in November so want to haul out sometime in October. Any suggestions appreciated!

@Plymouth Sailor I'm very sorry to hear about your son. I hope the treatment is going well.

See if you can arrange to move the boat into the hoisting well or to a slip adjacent sometime over a weekend so they can haul it the following Monday.
Our marina will allow this, or they'll tow it from my slip to the hoist for $25. Unless I have something else to do on the boat just before haulout, I always let them town it. It's worth $25 for the time saved.

Wish you were at our club, members will do that job for free and assure your boat is lifted correctly. Six members are licensed to lift using the club crane (max. 10,000lbs)

If the Lear Jet wasn't in the shop, again.....
I'm sorry I'm so far away. I'm chomping at the bit to get out on a boat, being in the yard and all, even if it is only 1/10 of a mile or so.
