Do you have any boating friends in your area that would be able to move the boat for you on a weekday? All the retired guys around me are always very willing to help anyone with their boat-especially if it involves the boat being in motion.

Very best to your son. At my club other members are always volonteering to help when needed. I've had my boat launched and taken to its dock when unable to attend. I've also performed the same service for other members. I remember a few years ago I did 4 boats + mine on launching day ! Good luck finding a solution.

There is your problem, never look at the invoice!

1/ it's time to recruit all the friends you ever took sailing. get your boat near the hoist at night , and hope the yard can take it from there even if they charge 'extra' for not having the owner help out. 2/ on teh g great lakes, any surveyor and quite a few boat brokers will help you out by moving your boat (for a fee... )
