I am planning to insulate the ice box in my 88 C-30. I have extensively researched prior posts on this DIY project. The ice box exterior is extremely difficult to access even when removing the adjacent drawers. I don't want to start drilling holes in the non-accessable side and then fill with foam. I have not read any posts regarding insulating the interior of the ice box and I am wondering why not? I have found an insulation type "blanket" which is very flexible, has foil on both sides and can be cut to fit any size panel. Why not insulate the interior and leave a small hole at the bottom for drainage? Would appreciate opinions and experiences.
