Soon my frind soon.
Steel hull. Very stable. I slept on her last night. Wonderful. The sound of the waves everything. Except for the damn birdsMust be a unique boat. An internet search yielded no results.
Be wary, sometimes the most expensive boat is a free one.
Nice boat. Luckily this one was out 2yrs ago. Aluminum mast. New feather prop from what owner told meWell, you have some work to do.
Wood mast?
Steel boats present some unique problems. I'm involved in the finishing/restoration of a steel boat now. One big issue is rust and corrosion in the hull plating. It would be good to set aside some money to have the boat hauled and an ultrasound test. This will determine if any plating needs to be replaced. While it is out, the integrity of the bottom paint and barrier paint can be checked.
This is the boat I'm working on:

"...Aft mast needs repair..." Are you saying this is a yawl, ketch or schooner?
Tell that to the captain of the Bounty that went down in hurricane Sandy! I read the book this summer. What was he thinking!!Nobody PLANs to sail in a storm
That's good, it wasn't built in someone's backyard. The boat was built by Howdy Baileys Custom Yachts in Norfolf VA
My point was whoever said you dont need to fix something "unless you plan to sail in a storm" is an idiot.Tell that to the captain of the Bounty that went down in hurricane Sandy! I read the book this summer. What was he thinking!!
I agree but a new mast is very expensiveMy point was whoever said you dont need to fix something "unless you plan to sail in a storm" is an idiot.
