You could send some here. We've only had about 5 inches in November then no snow since. Even our ski resorts are pretty well shut down for the season.

9"... I hear ya! That's a 4x4 truck under there.
I got it out.
There is about 1.75' of snow on the ground here. Warming up next week so it will soon be 6" of water in my basement...

You guys have no idea....Scott is correct about the snow in New Brunswick.

I can't reach those windows from the ground and there's a BBQ and a patio swing with canopy under there. I have a fenced in back yard that is 6' at it's lowest point and 8' at it's highest (far corner). January and February have been brutal....

Sooooooo sick of winter this year. The coldest February on record. The total amount of snowfall so far isn't a ridiculous amount; its just that what fell here two months ago is still here. Nothing has melted.

I don't like cold, either. Even in Texas.

The 5 day trend at the local CG station in Freeport, TX. It's in Celsius for all you folks north of the border. I was wearing shorts two days ago. Now I've actually got socks on!!! Woe is me!! Oh, wait. I'm not shoveling snow so carry on.

I still have 5 feet at the road and three feet average everywhere else. 30 degrees plus thru Wednesday. It will to where a tee shirt outside again. Should knock a foot off. But . . . 6 weeks 3 days, 5 hours 7 minutes to BVI 2.0. That will get me thru.

I'm getting tired of watching my same sailing videos over and over. I need the real thing. At least with the motorcycle I can sit on it in the garage.

Most sailors are ambidextrous.

Hey WayneH,

Thanks for the temp chart in degrees C, but not really necessary.

Most (older) Canadians are ambidextrous. Meaning we can drive at 90 km and 56 mph... at the same time :)
We drive in kph or mph and sail in knots.
We travel so many kilometers or miles and sail in NM.

I'm learning to sail in meters, also. Planning trips out of the "SAE" world so I need to know my draft (1.3m) and my air draft (16.9m) so I can make sure the Admiral enjoys her trip and doesn't remind me about all the times I bumped the bottom or scraped a bridge.

Down here in S Florida its bugs everywhere. Biting bugs. Have to wear long pants, socks, long sleeve shirts even when its approaching 90 degrees. And then hose yourself with deet. They still get thru and bite the hell out of you. These are disease carrying bugs. Chicungunya, malaria, small pox, anthrax, you name it.

Cant swim with all the pollution, jellyfish and sharks in the water.

Feel better now?

Yes, Thank You! Around here, the record low temperatures (Friday and Saturday, most recently) will freeze/kill alot of bugs (stinkers) that are normally dormant for the winter.

I hear you about the cold and snow. We did make one HUGE mistake this winter - going for a sail when we were in San Diego last week. We really thought it would help with the "winter blah's" but it had the opposite effect. We are climbing the walls waiting for spring!

It's only 50 days until our club brings in the crane and we supposedly launch all the boats.
But this is what the club looked like yesterday.

Apparently last year they barely made it - the lakes had more ice than usual and stayed cold longer. I've heard that this year the Great Lakes had even more ice than previous years, so who know what that'll do.
