That would be real nice.Be sure to follow the directions (dimensions etc) I purchased a mount that I attached to the lazzaret lid. It mounts near the starboard edge of the lid. I installed the attachment pin to the top side of the tiller. I do have some pictures of the mounting of the mount to the lid but they aren't posted, so I can link to them. I can send you a few if you want.

Ok time to 'fess-up'. You did quite a bit of research before buying the S. Now that you have it and have been using it as much or more than anyone on here how about an update. Do you like it? Do you thing it was the right boat for you guys? etc.? etc.?.....Maybe I'll work on the boat and just daysail on Sunday.
That is probably the cleanest, simplest and cheapest way to go. I did mine that way, extensions are only about $25.Mine is mounted to the top of the starboard coaming next to the laz lid. I added the available shaft extension.
