I thought I'd pass on this (in retrospect) easy to check source of bildge water.
For a year, I've been getting rain water in the bildge on my 1986 C27 outboard model, whcih really shouldn't have any. Sometimes a LOT. Looked everywhere, stayed on the boat in rainstorms, couldn't find anything wrong. Yesterday, I discovered that the hose which connects the port cockpit drain to the through-hull fitting is cracked where it makes a 90 degree bend.
Older C27's and C30's all have this easy-to-check potential source of leakage.
