I met a guy who designed and was the original helmsman on "Pyewacket", Roy would have been lost without his guidance and expertise.

Pour vodka down the mouth of a bluefish and it will kill it right away.

That was one happy bluefish!

Yup, been there done that at 52 knot peak gusts.
I've only had about 40 that short, though I honestly think it is sufficient in water under 20 feet. I used to use a lot more, but as anchorages become more congested down here, one must adapt.
I learned that 3:1 was sufficient for all chain and 5:1 for chain and line, in most cases.

This was back in the early 80's which could make a difference. Back then didn't pilots have to set their altimeters by the barometric pressure at the airfield?
Inches of mercury, not MB. Only with glass cockpits can you choose MB settings.

One of my worst fears is that if I die first my wife will sell my gun collection for what I told her I paid for them.
I will PM you my phone number just in case the worst happens and the grim reaper comes calling for you. Please make sure you leave specific instructions for your wife to call me first concerning said gun collection. I will be glad to give her what you told her you paid for them
