For occasional use I'd go with a good cooler. Ice can last many days in it. For an occasional fridge/freezer I'd take a look at a dorm fridge and inverter. The little fridge/freezer I have draws one amp. I was a bit surprised myself when I saw it printed on the label

Thank you. We know coolers - can usually eak out 10 sailing days by freezing food in layers. (Also a river runner/ semi retired guide so get ice quality and care.)

Own a H260 - no room for a dorm unit/inverter. Rudimentary electrics - will require an additional house battery (already added 1) and more solar capacity. Will probably relocate batteries to the midships port lazerette and add a bunch of electronics (plotter/ram AP) Boat is stern heavy now.

Need to figure draws, design a system and..... fiberglass a new hole w/ good ventilation. Not happening this spring.
