Hydraulic Lift Arm for Refrigerator

I tried to send a message to SBO site with photos, but the site just won’t let me.
So I thought I’d ask here.
I need to replace the Lifting Arm on my 2000 340 Refrigerator. The only thing readable on the old arm is the Part Number. How good
is that. Part No. SL-2-40
It measures 15 3/4 inches fully extended.
I was on my boat this morning, a word of caution….The Refrigerator Door is heavy! And drops like dead weight straight down!
I thought I broke my arm, it came down so hard.
It just lost all of its ability to hold, even a little bit.
So if anyone knows if this part is available on this site or elsewhere, please let me know. Thank you for the help.

I have a new one arriving today from the SBO store. My original part number is SL2-20, but Mike remembered they had a part number change when the lid material was changed and made lighter. He recommended the SL2-30 which I understand is same geometry but stronger force. I'll install on Monday and report back.

Measure your current gas spring fully extended and fully compressed, between the centers of the holes. Mine was 15 in extended and 9 3/4 compressed.

Ed,
Mine measures out the same as yours did, 15 and 9 3/4 inches. I can understand the stronger force, as that lid is heavy. I’ve seen others but they all have thicker ends and won’t fit on the existing brackets and allow the spring clips to sit in the grooves to hold it in place.
I tried contacting the SBO store but for some reason I can’t get into the site. I’ll call them Monday and talk to a real person and get one ordered.
Thank you for the help.

Phil at the SBO Store on this site did receive my email (minus my photos) and directed me to the exact part. Same as Ed’s. The new Lifting Arm is ordered and due to be shipped.
My thanks to both Paul and John for their help. While the arms were the right length, the ends wouldn’t fit, but thank you.
Ed let us know how you make out with your installation.
I had trouble about a month ago where the site wouldn’t allow me access to enter, that got fixed. It’s odd that it allows me to add photos to postings but not to the store. I’ll contact them again and see if I can find out why.
Thank you everyone for the help. My arm especially thanks you all, you should see the bruise.

SBO store sent me the SL2-20 which is the exact replacement 20 lb force version (what I had from the factory). Installed in about a minute and it works like it should, balancing the weight of the lid without applying extra force when opening or closing. I think the 30 lb version would be too much opening force.
