Vicarious Sailing
I own the whole set and enjoy them all. Each one features a different, and unique trailer sailor destinations mostly out west in Oregon, Montana and Idaho. There is useful information about each destination that really helps a person to make plans in advance of their trip; For example, there are interviews with local sailors (Old Salts), phone numbers to helpful marina's, and tip about areas to look out for for while sailing etc. Four of the five feature the Hunter 26, and the newest one about Lake Champlain, features the 260. Each video also offers a "sailing tip" like reefing, stepping the mast, anchoring, etc. Each one also highlights activities you can do "ashore."I am really looking forward to the next video and hope they make videos featuring Key West, The Apostle Islands, or some other more inland lake like the Ozarks... still waiting. I haven't purchased my own boat yet, but after watching the videos, I am seriously leaning toward a 26 or 260. The creators portray trailer sailing as something the whole family can enjoy, and an activitiy you don't have to be super rich. I think sailing needs this kind of information to promote itself. Maybe not "must haves" but up to now, the best resource for people like me wondering about what boat to purchace, where to go, or even if sailing is something my family would like to do. I highly recommend them, especially with the Fall colors coming so fast.Tim Mason
