Ok, this is an interesting question
Hunter did, in fact, put a drain hose in the freezer compartment
But, they actually looped it upwards, making draining of stagnant water in it difficult
And, it drained into the bilge.
I found the loop, and made it a straight drain.
The problem with that was that the bilge started to stink from food runoff.
So, I installed a sump box system which made it a closed system
I was able to then clean the fridge/ freezer, and dump soapy water in which would flush overboard.
I did a T fitting on the sink drain, which was how I exited the waste water.
I didn’t have any issues with cold air escaping, as the drain hose always sat in a small puddle in the bottom of the sump box.
I know this sounds a bit complex, but it gave me a way of always cleaning out the fridge , and not having a stinky bilge as a result
