How well does the line cutter work? Do you have frequent need of it?
Cruising in Maine - Absolutely. Between the toggle float system and the density of the floats, and having them in channels; we snag a pot about once per week.
Anywhere else- not so much. But you just never know.
The simple serrated edge or smooth edge cutters rely on one end of the line being secured to a trap so that when the line tries to wrap the line pulls tight against the cutting edge.

Unfortunately, as I found out, if you encounter a loose piece of line it will wrap nicely around the prop without cutting.

I have no experience with the two-blade cutters.

A few years ago we were headed towards out home port as the sun set. We were on the look out for crab pots about 30 minutes out from the river entrance. The crab potters just love to drop their pots all around the entrance to the river.

Behind me I noticed a good sized power boat steaming towards the outer buoy. I let him slide past and got into his wake following him into the Marina like a fullback following his blockers through the defensive line. Not sure about cutters on his prop shaft, but there were a number of loose floats bobbing out of his wake. We followed his him all the way into the marina, not a single crab trap issue.

Sometimes you just need to let the big guy lead the way.
