Hey Guys, Finally got our new/used Hunter 386 in the water. What a relief. It has the old Raytheon ST60 Instrument pack on her. The Wind is not working. I have to try and isolate. I need to look at the connection into the instrument first then move on. To remove the top of the Console/Helm do you just remove the 4 philip screws? I have also pulled down the cables below the mast to inspect. Any words of wisdom?

Thanks RitSim. I was able to get some info from the Raymarine site. Headed to the boat this weekend and pulled the cable/wires down below the mast. No 8 Volts. Found the shield wire had broken off the terminal strip. Fixed and she's working like a charm now. Thanks for the input!

Certainly search their forum for answers; but, don’t hesitate posing a question on the Raymarine forum. I have found them very responsive to the extreme. I once had the Sr. Product Support Engineer actual call me at home to resolve an issue I had been struggling with.

Is the LCD wind display working (displaying anything)? If not, it's probably a complicated problem. If the paddle wheel up on the mast isn't spinning in the breeze, but you see 0.0 Kts on the display, it could just be that the bearings in the wind transducer (up on the mast) have gone bad. Much easier problem to solve. See
