Hello Everyone,

I am new to the group and also to Hunter ownership. I just acquired a 1994 Hunter 29.5 which needs the starboard tinted window replaced due to a crack. I wasn't able to find a replacement part for this window. Do I just need to just take measurements and have an acrylic shop make me custom replacement window? Thanks in advance for all your assistance!

You will probably have to have it cu$tom made.:(

As a long shot, you might find one that was damaged in a hurricane and is now being parted out...but that’s unlikely.
I’d recommend calling the SBO store again to see if they have the build dimensions on file. That information could help you work with a custom shop. Also, is the window flat or curved? If it’s curved, matching the curvature will likely be the biggest challenge. I don't envy your quest.

If you can't get one off the shelf, you'll have to have one fabricated for you.

The measurements you require for a good fit wouldn't even be close doing it his way.

The only way you'll get a proper fit is to carefully remove the window and take it to a fab shop and they will use it as a pattern to router a new one. Pretty well anyone who sells acrylic has a small shop out back for light jobs like this.

As far as removal, the archives here have an encyclopedia of information on how to do this without destroying the original window.

A fair sized job but not impossible if you search the archives for removal and installation.
