Hunter 25.5 Hairline Crack

Last weekend I noticed a small amount of water in the bottom floor area directly above the keel. I soaked it up with a rag thinking it was from when I was washing things and spilled some water. The closer I looked I could see a very small hairline crack directly above the keel (see pics) that is developing water. Over the course of a couple days it amounted to approximately a cup of water. When the boat was in dry dock I filled in any areas where the keel meets the hull with west systems epoxy prior to coating with interprotect 2000E, 6 coats. Perhaps there is a pin hole or area that is leaking.?

I can seal up this crack from the interior for now but is this a major issue I should be concerned with???!!! Any help is much appreciated.

Hi JKCMBOAT, I also have a 1984 25.5 and had a similar problem last year. I had water seeping straight up through my keel bolts (or so it appeared). I assumed that water had found a way up the keel bolt shafts and that I had a major problem. I began inspecting every through-hull fixture and discovered that one of my transducers was leaking right around the threads. I could only detect this because I got a light and a piece of paper towel on a stick and was able to get it just a little damp around the transducer hole. A quick glance at it and it looked bone dry but in fact a tiny amount of water was traveling from the transducer threads across the boat underneath the layers of fiber glass and coming up around the keel bolts. I cleaned and tighted the transducer and after a few days the keel bolts stopped leaking and have never been wet again. Hope this helps.

The transducer is what the depth sounder uses. There's one on the left in the middle picture.
