We've owned our 23.5 (basically the same boat) since new, in 1993. Our 5 kids grew up on her. As her name, "Kinship" implies, she was the perfect boat for our family, and still is. During summers we would trailer sail all over NE Ohio, and every year we took a week long cruise, usually to the Erie islands. Keeping her on the trailer, in those early years, allowed us to explore many of Ohio's island lakes, as well as Lake Erie from Erie, PA to Toledo, OH. No matter what marina or anchorage we were in, we were always the smallest sailboat with the biggest crew, 2 adults and 5 kids.
Now that we are older and the kids are grown, we keep her in a marina in Sandusky, OH. And some of the grandkids are starting to show an interest in sailing with us.
