Hull to deck joint

I have a 30 year old C22, that is a sweet sailing boat. The deck, windows, hatch boards, etc are all water tight. The gudgeons for the rudder pintels are not leaking either. I have no thru hulls, except the cockpit drain and keel cable hose, and they do not leak. The keel lockdown bolt has been removed and glassed over. The boat can sit thru a thunderstorm and remains dry inside. I find water in the bilge when I return from a sail. It only seems to appear after a sail on heavier weathered days, where I heel over to more extremes. I suspect that the hull to deck joint is leaking, and will use a hose on it the first chance I get. I can live with this problem for the season and will fix it later. Has anyone ever repaired a problem like this, and do you have any advice.

Deck/ hull leaks

I had a simular problem with my 35 year old catalina 22. I found that there is a gap between the hull and the Metal bumper rail where the deck and the hull are joined. I bought some tubes of clear silicone sealent and went all around the hull deck joint. About a month ago there was a "fix" for the forstay area of the bow. It seems that the deck part of the bow was lifting off of the hull under the tension of the forstay. A turnbuckle was used to connect the forstay chain plate to the bow eye bolt. check the archives, I believe there were some pictures too. Fair winds AL

Inject 3M 5200 all along the joint seam from the outside. You may have to remove the rub rail.
