Was looking at a 33 Hunter Cherubini that was in water. Later the owner sent some hi-res photos that revealed a horizontal crack after I zoomed in. The crack is on both sides the entire width of the keel. In the photo he was painting the bottom and apparently painted right over the crack. He is really anxious to sell it before it gets pulled for the season. I told him I would have to see the bottom before I made an offer. I think the bolts looked OK from the bilge. I don't want to pay for a survey if the bolts need to be replaced. I can make repairs but not as far as droping the keel. Any way I can tell if it is worth the survey? It's a great boat otherwise and the price is right.
Thanks, Bill
