yes that's it, now that's a neat idea..........Do you mean the lifelines between the stanchions? I covered mine with three strand laid line that I opened and wrapped around the steel wire core.
that would do it, the one's I've seen are to thick, but a thinner one would be perfect.....The usual method is to use those foam " noodle" thingies that kids play in the pool with. Covered in Sunbrella with Velcro along the length and a pull cord at each end.

That's where the hose comes in. The ones I made I used a thick walled plastic tubing. There was a little wiggle room, but not a lot.How do you accomodate a 5/8 inch hole in the insulation to the 1/4 inch wire rope?
