I don't go too hard on these sailors that end up on the rocks or beach(I'm one of them :)). As I see damaged boats hauled in our area regularly, it seems as many hit the most obvious hazzards in broad daylight. Occasionally well marked hazzards inside our harbors here catch an experienced captain, even professionals.

Sometimes I think there's a close to home complacency that gets a few boats in trouble every year around here.
Speaking of close to home, all y'all should hear the flak I'm getting for accidentally breaking a small glass bowl SWIMBO got at a garage sale for $0.25! Thanks, Kris. Go easy.

I have been told that the most dangerous parts of the ocean are the thin places around the edges.
