How far have you sailed your Hunter

Anyone think sailing an H306 from Ft. Pierce to the Bahamas in the right conditions is a bad idea?

Straight across from Ft. Pierce? I'd jump off further south unless the weather says go now. I suppose you can always do the south running once you get to the other side of the stream...

We sailed from NJ to Panama City Florida, and back 2,400 miles each way.

We sailed our 1984 Hunter 31 from from Geneva on the Lake, Ohio, across the Erie Canal, down the Hudson river, around New Jersy, up the Delaware Bay, down the Chesapeake, took the ICW to Lake Worth North Palm Beach, across the Gulf Stream to The Bahamas in 2010. In 2011 we headed back to the Chesapeake for the summer and then returned to the Bahamas for the Winter. The boat is now in Titusville for hurricane season and we now plan to head back to the Bahamas again this winter. We always watch the weather and play it safe.
