How do I tell if my sails are any good or not?

I got some pretty good sails with my boat by the sounds of it. But im already looking for a bigger boat, lol. Ya know, something I can stand up in, .....
Knowing what to look for and how to inspect it all, just sitting back and reading this stuff a guy can learn so much. Thanks go out to all, not only for the question, but to those who have the answers.

Listen to shermander he knows what he`s talking about Chances are 15 year old sails that were probably popular priced to begin with are shot. There are lots of tests you can do pin tests Stiffness of clot ect; But the only way to tell is to hoist the sails and see what the look like. You can do this on the hard. If you hoist a main sail and it looks baggy and the draft is far aft forgetaboutit. You can get a decent set of used sails from a dealer for a lot less than new ones. One more comment: before you drive the kind of distance you are talking about
to look at a boat you have never seen, you might want to hire someone knowledgeable to
give the boat a cursory look over. Even if the boat passes the initial inspection, the prudent buyer should hire a marine surveyor to to survey the boat. This way you know what you`re buying before you make a deal
