How do I reduce 3JH2E Yanmar Mixing Elbows have a 3" to a 2"

Might not be good idea to go smaller,a friend of mine has been over heating because
his exhaust size was smaller when some changed it.
As soon as he increases rpm's to increase speed it over heats but is OK if he stays at about 5 knots.

We are not going smaller. Yanmar constructed 15 years ago this engines with a 2" exhaust exit. Now they do it with a 2.5" But there is a mixing elbow for a very similar Yanmar engine with a 2" exhaust exit that can be used and has been used by all the yanmar owners who have the same problem.
