Well, after looking at a lot of uncared-for, tired, unupgraded boats, I sat down with the wife

Good Job!

Now comes the survey... Sounds like LaDonna did a good once-over on the other vessel and saved you having to survey a bad boat. That's a load off... Get her a nice bottle of wine! Just curious, what is the asking price on the new girl? Sounds like the owner took good care of her. Rob

Check your email Dave!

That's fantastic!!! I had hoped you'd find that boat. For reasons spelled out in my email to you, I couldn't really tell you about it but that was one fantastic boat. BTW, for any interested (hope I'm not spilling too many secrets, Dave), the boat he's buying was priced at $1000 over the other one. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it!!! Just goes to show what kind of mark up brokers have - though they're often worth it. Good on ya!!!! BTW, I like Pinot Gris. :) LaDonna

Pinot Gris on the way.....

The vessel is in fantastic shape. I may have to replace the halyards in a year, but that's about it. Asking waas 13,500. We considered it worth the price, and another buyer was due for a test sail in an hour. We got sailing lessons as part of the deal (my wife has never sailed, I haven't sailed such a large boat, only flown a spinnaker once). Compared to the 1995 Hunter 27 ($30K) we had just seen--a nice boat, but not as 'us'--we considered it a steal. I'll check my email now, LaDonna.
