My 1987 P33-2 still has the original holding tank/bladder in it. I am eager to change this to a regular hard tank. Has anyone done this? How large of a tank and where can it be located?

Kracor Wisconsin has not responded to two requests. Raritan has tried to help but no solution yet. Has anyone tried installing a holding tank in the head storage hold to the left of the sink?
I don't know how the 33-2 is set up. My 323 has a 30 gal water tank in the bow. I converted it to a holding tank. It's great for my no-discharge area. (Great Lakes) Krocor was helpful during the change over in giving me data on the tank thickness etc. They claim it is a 40 gal tank. That was 4 years ago.

I am the new owner of a P33-2, also with the original bladder style holding tank. When we were shopping, we encountered a few P33-2s that had upgraded the tank and I was planning on doing exactly what they did...
There is plenty of room in the cockpit locker. They simply removed the bladder, secured the board that covers it, and mounted a new tank on top of the board. By my measurements, it should be easy to fit a 20-25 gallon tank (of the normal, prefab tanks available at west marine/defender/etc.) and still have plenty of room for the various junk I throw in the locker. I am sure you could fit a much larger tank in there.

If I am interpreting the hull id correctly, I have hull #34. So far, we have been extremely pleased.
