Hello folks, just wanted to give an initial howdy. My wife and I just got a ‘73 Catalina 27, currently located on Cayagu Lake in the Finger Lakes region of NY. It will need a lot of work, all over the place, but it’s functional. We happened to acquire it just a week before it had to be pulled for the winter, so it’s a strange experience - buy it and go straight into winter scheming/dreaming mode. Anyway, I look forward to making good use of this forum!

Congrats on the boat. Always a pain when you have a new toy and now you can’t play with it.
Hopefully you can go aboard and at least sit in it and get the feel of it. Check out all the voids and hidden spaces. Sometimes there are surprise treasures left by the previous owner.
