Really Jon. 3 " rise in the lake... I do not have a good calculation for lake rise to rainfall. It looks like there are southern parts of the lake that will be gettin as much as 1" of rainfall this evening. That is only one day. For the next several a High pressure is coming that will give the locals some nice weather as this Low pass onward to the ENE.

9PM to night has the storm center over the southern part of Lake Michigan.

the entire mitten is getting 1" to 2" and some areas up to 5". it takes about 3 days for the run off to enter the lake. plus what falls in both lakes.

the national radar for the michigan/huron water shed zone shows the area getting hammered again tonight. this is not good. the pace has been a little less that last year maybe, but the rains just keep coming. the system is on the rise both seasonally and year to year.

Flood warning all around the state, I live on the East side and my phone is constantly going off with weather warnings for flood advisories. I would not want any property along the coast they are loosing ground (literally) big time.

5 inches of rain!!! That would set off stream flooding in many vulnerable spots in my area. How common is that big a rainfall?

15 is years ago it rainded endlessly 300 miles west in the red river area, lots of flooding all the way to the gulf then. while the great lakes stayed in a draught.
the lake michigan basin has been getting pounded for over a year now. while western wisconson has been dry ish.
what if this pattern stays with us for ten years?

pipe line out to Vegas? ship the water direct.

Lake Erie - Toronto region were forecasted to get it last night but as you said it stalled so I don’t think much happened there.I felt like it never stopped last year here in Kingston, big difference this year so far

all the sewage systems for all the cities were overwhelmed, so they open the gates and all the raw went into the lakes. all the crap from all the lawns and golf courses just washed into the lake. all the oil from all the roads and parking lots just ran into the lake.
storms like this overwhelm the basin. not good, not good at all
