Boy that is a song from the past.
And from Ecclesiastes. My wife was impressed when we were watching Jeopardy and a question about it came up. You had to give the song title. I also told her the book of the Bible. Once the contestant answered correctly Alex gave the book of the Bible. My wife said, “How did you know that?” I just told her I know things.

Kermit, you have become the cogniti.

-Will (Dragonfly)
Thanks, um, I think. I haven’t found a suitable definition. And by suitable I mean one that tells me what the heck a cogniti is.

I believe Sir @Will Gilmore took a little liberty with his Latin roots.

Cogniti is the plural male form of Cognitus.
adjective
Definitions:

  1. known (from experience/carnally), tried/proved
  2. noted, acknowledged/recognized
So attempting to understand the mind of Will. He meant to identify/complement Kermie as a knowledgeable male individual using a word that sounds cool.

That's it exactly.

It's based on a phrase "in cogniui" meaning "in the know" that I was taught many years ago, but never found a closer confirmation for.

I’ll just go with I know stuff. Interestingly enough, you’ll rarely if ever hear me use those words when discussing sailing.

You get bald eagles at your bird feeders?

Our bird feed attracted a broad winged hawk and now I have 25 chickens instead of 28. :(

Some have stories to tell, such as the Swainsons Hawk and Cow Bird. Many stop by on their way north or south depending upon the time of year. Others stay year around.

This one showed up yesterday at the house checking out the bird-feeder buffet. I think it's a Coopers Hawk. Taken with my phone so not a good pic.
