The Bimini was on a "powerboat" I got it for a song! But it is still 8" to high to clear the boom. I have already cut 12" off.

I had to trade, helping a friend helping a guy I don't even know,move a 1000pd gun case up stairs! But a Bimini is worth more than money! Let me know what you are looking for and I will keep my eyes out for you.
Depth finder like you found for a start. I'm like you, trying to start sailing and my wife is a lot less enthused than I am so any money spent is DISCUSSED.

4 years I made sails out of poly tarps now I can make a real sail. But little scared because I have one shot to get it right!!!!!!
Bill .... Take a little bedding tape and put it around the cable hole coming out stern. Then get a small s.s.cam shell cover to dress it up .

If your attaching to fiberglass I think any 2 part would do it. If your attaching to wood a quality waterproof wood glue and screws is the ticket.
Ok next question, how do I curve the wood to conform to the hull so I can attach the ledger board?
Since I own a millwork/cabinet shop this is how I'd do it. I probably wouldn't bend it but rather cut it to match curve. Cut a piece of scrap 1/4" plywood the length I wanted the shelf to be and about 3" wide. Hold it against the boat where you want the shelf. Lets assume there's a 1" gap between plywood and boat at the center of board. Take one of your kids compasses and set it at 1-1/8" from point to pencil. Holding board against the boat and the point of the compass lightly against the boat hull scribe the curve on the plywood from one end to the other. Either bandsaw or jigsaw it on the line and you have a pattern to cut the shelf.
You can make a pattern by first making a compass (yard stick with pencil taped crosswise solidly) then following the curve of the hull onto a piece of cardboard (with the compass) from OUTSIDE the hull.
For the stip to mount this to, notch the wood so that it'll bend to the shape of the hull, glue it and brace it until the glue dries or kicks.
It would be easier to shape the shelf and then tab it into place with epoxy ($$) or polyester (less $$) and strips of fiberglass matt, heavy cloth or light roving.

I think it's called a ledger? It's where the shelf will fasten to. And having 3 kids in the house no one has a compass and the youngest never heard of one! Wow I must be getting old?
To most people this means nothing,but to me it keeps the battery out of the cockpit. It's lugs I install for trolley motor. One project down,fifteen to go!
