Haul out

Oct 14th. It is dark here by about 6:30pm now in MA, so sailing after work is less of an option. Plus at some point the constant worry of stormy weather outweighs the potential for further use. Have to cover her up and spend some time at home with a rake to boot.

At Michigan City it's Nov1st. I hauled out last weekend as there are some projects I want to do before it gets too cold and before launch arrives April 1st.

Nice N Easy....we need to keep quiet.....PS, I'm leaving October 11 on a nine day sailing trip along the Alabama and Florida gulf coast....the weather should be perfect.....

if I needed bottom paint but the sailing is too good around here at that time of the year and it's too cold to wax the hull. I'm hauling out in July next year.

Coming out Oct. 14th. After the weather starts kicking up in the fall I spend more time worrying about the weather than sailing, especially with the seasonal wind shift which makes my mooring site (selected for its skyline view of Boston) less desirable.

Plus I have a business trip the last week of October and they shut down the docks at the club the 18th, so I'd have to start hauling my tender around.
