Soon time for haul out of my Pearson 30. According to my Club rules, I need to mark positions for the crane straps to go on my boat.

Problem is, I have never hauled mine out as it is new to me.

Can someone please inform me as the where the best position for the haulout straps would be located?

thanks

Adrian, the best location for haulout straps, fore and aft ,would be as close to an athwartship bulkhead as possible without interfering with any transducers(speed paddlewheel), external sea strainers or drive shaft. This will provide the most solid support points. As long as the visual balance is good (not too far fore or aft) you will be fine. You might want to clean any bottom paint left on your hull from the haulout straps and any growth or scum along your bootstripe. One less thing to do in Spring. Good luck, Ron

Thanks for assistance

Thank you for your help. I hope everything goes well...but it surprised me that we are hauling Oct 16-17. That is 2 - 3 weeks earlier than normal.

Oh well.
