I’m getting quite a range of pricing from those of you who have been kind enough to take the time to respond. The feedback has shown me that there are unique factors that influence every reason why, or why not, we pay for what we get. If I were thirty years younger I would be taking on much of the labor issues myself (provided I would have ready access to equipment needed). Unfortunately, I’m no longer young enough to commit to such a task and the boatyard would never allow do it yourselfers to borrow or rent equipment on their premises due to liability reasons anyway.
What I have gleaned from your answers I’ve received is that I must find out exactly what I will receive for the amount of money the boatyard will charge me. As many of you know is, to a certain extent, we marina tenants are a captive audience and are primarily at their boatyard’s mercy. Thank you, again, for your comments.
