I just purchased a 1986 C27TR. Very excited. I'm spending the next 2 weeks getting it ready for launch and have a maintenance questions. The boat has 2 small hatches on the doghouse. It may have been a long time since the previous owner opened the hatches because the hatches kind of "stuck" to the rubber gasket when I opened it. With a little minor effort the hatched open, but that brings me to my question. Is there any "maintenance" service to keep these gaskets plyable? Oil them or vasoline?
