I recently replaced an old 5411 Universal diesel with a factory new m3-20b Universal diesel. The new engine cranked almost as soon as I touched the button for the first time. During cleanup of the engine compartment I removed an old fuel pump the P O had installed inline between the water seperator and fuel filter. Now the engine takes forever to crank. I have completely bled the fuel lines including the injectors. I also cut off the raw water intake to prevent back filling the muffler. After I start the engine it will crank again and again with no problem.Let it sit overnight and I am back to the endless cranking. Any suggestions on what the trouble might be ?
