H41DS decoupling fridge/freezer switch?

New to me ‘08 Hunter 41 DS. Wanting to put in new AGM house bank. I’m a bachelor with no use for a freezer. Can I decouple the switches and yank the freezer (or replace with a 2nd fridge)?

I assume you have 2 separate compressor units ? One for the fridge and one for the freezer?

If so, I would think you could...but...
1) check the “coupled“ breakers and make sure it is actually 2 separate breakers.
2) let us know what make of refrigerator and freezer you have...hopefully someone knows way more about it then me
3) Batchelor’s don’t eat frozen pizza or burritos? Who knew...

To change freezer to frige, providing you do have 2 compressors, all you have to do is to replace the freezer thermostat with a frige thermostat. That’s exactly what I have done, but the other way around, as the PO preferred to have 2 friges on my Legend 40.5.
It is surprising that there are not 2 switches, on my boat there are 2.

Different model boat here with two separate units controlled by separate switches. If I drop the thermostat on the freezer to the lowest setting, the temperature in the box rises above freezing. Keep in mind that at some point in the future the new boat owner might want a freezer, FWIW.
