I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered previously - which I'm sure it must have been - but I can't find it.
My new-to-me H36 has a fixed length wire topping lift.
When the sail is raised the wire goes slack and bangs back and forth and sometimes interacts with the backstay.
I am most concerned with potential wear on the sail.
I like the wire backstay particularly for winter storage but would like to overcome this problem while keeping the wire if possible.
Has anyone come up with a neat way of dealing with this and/or have any other advice?
Any and all input would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
