Is there deck backing plates for stanchion bases. surveyor recommends rebedding the stanchions. The H356 stanchion has 2 toe rail bolts and 2 screws that go into the deck. Does anybody know if the 2 deck screw/bolts have a backing plate with a nut that can be accessed from inside the boat.
Thanks

Richard,
I am attaching a copy of the Hunter Installation SOP used for assembly instructions for the H356. I believe that there is an embedded plate in the deck embossment that the stanchion based are mounted on. The SOP says that the bolt holes were drilled and tapped for 1/4" x 20 thread bolts. Hope this helps.

Did you find a H356 that you are buying? We just sold ours last week.

Bob

Bob's correct - just be careful trying to unscrew the phillips head screws, they may be frozen and they are easy to strip. judicious use of an impact driver may help free them;use of a solvent like PB blaster will work as a last resort but need cleaning for the new bedding to adhere. use anti-seize on the machine screws at re-install.
Congrats on your new boat!
