I'm redoing the interior from the last owner/madman.... Bought the boat empty......I need the height of the settes...I guessed 15" high but seems like the scraps of wood he left me one has a measurement of 18"!!! Anyone have one they can measure ...it would be greatly appreciated... Thank you!

Sounds possible (18"). The top of the settee over the water tank- port side is just high enough to fit the tank height ( provided the PO didn't change the tank!!)

Well the water tank was just laying around the boat when I bought her..... It's here and height measures 14 1/4.... So I
15" I'm guessing for the port setee....I wonder if it's the same for the dinette... That's the size I need now....

Not 100% sure about the 15" but it does seem about right. Be careful however as the bottom of the tank is not flat to accomodate the shape of the boat. so it may sit a little higher than 15". Kloudie or Dan might have the measurement readily available. I do confirm that both dinette seats are the same height as the port settee.

Hey, Highmillr.. I took some measurements in the starboard aft settee for my air conditioner installation.. The inside height from the top of the floor to the underside of the top plate is 15 3/4". This is the dimension of the front vertical board of that settee. The top plate sits on top and is flush with the outside of the front board .. I think the top plate is 3/4" thick but I am not positive of that.. I can get some more dimensions for you next week when I'll be there for a couple of days..

Kloudie, and Highmillr, on my boat top plate of port settee and 2 dinette seats is 1/2" thick.

Sitting on boat right now.. Beautiful evening out.(about 50F and lots of moon, calm wind). Confirming top plate is 1/2" and top of plate is 16 1/4" from floor. Also, 34 1/4 to top of sink cabinet and 34 to top of nav station. Engine box is 31" to top from floor in front..
Highmillr, if you need other measurements, give me a shout..

Dan, it was a beautiful 70 here in Cocoa today. 6:40 PM and still a nice balmy 65 as I'm sipping something cool and sniffing the nice aroma that coming from the kitchen as my wife is preparing dinner. Life is tough but somebody has to do it ! Ha almost forgot: the plan for Saturday is get on my friend's boat, sail up the Indian River for a few hours, stop at a nice restaurant for a leasurely lunch and then sail back. Life is tough but somebody has to do it. I know I'm repeating myself, but I can't help it. Don't pity me, come down and join us !

The two Claudes have got it too good!

Sixteen degrees and snowing. Feet up and watching the tube. Will deal with the snow in the morning...

Wow you guys are great!!!! Thanks so much for all of your help on these measurements...I have the wood in the garage and have started cutting it ...next is staining and poly!!! Going with a sanded nice 1/2 plywood..and a "Cabernet" stain...got the flooring ripped out and have cut that ...going to resin the bottom to offer support and extra moisture barrier...pics to come...right now the boat is stripped clean of everything from the forward berth wall....back to the ice box stern....even the engine cover....looks like the engine is sitting in the middle of the floor!!! Have all but settee wood cut and about to knock that out next now thanks to you guys and the measurements!!! Thanks again!!!!

How about that. My friend is across from Telemar marina so we frequently sail the river right off Dragon Point ! Last Saturday we sailed to Grill's, North of the Pineda Causeway only to ground in the middle of their marked channel ! We had hoped the water level would allow us to get in. After wiggling our way back to deeper water, we sailed back and had lunch at Coasters ! Let me know if you need a 3rd hand to position and install the settees or other stuff and I'll be happy to come down and help. Or if you just want to get together and talk over a cold one.

I really appreciate the pictures showing where the lines run under the sole. Some I am not sure whether they show Port or Starboard. I will need to redo the lines to/from the head and holding tank, so I like understanding the PLAN.

While you have it torn apart, be sure to replace any through-hull gate valves with ball valves.
