H15 Clew Outhaul- Take two

I have changed the previously self installed V Cleat that held the outhaul line with a two part cleat from the UK Clamcleat company. This one has an accessory 'Keeper'. The main advantage is that this setup overcomes the problem of the line being cleated accidentally when you have released it. I have also shackled the mainsail's clew to a small sail slide to keep the clew close to the boom.

Surprised at the lack of comment

I am surprised that no one, especially H146 owners, haven't commented on what I saw as the missing mainsail control on H146's and H15's. As a non ballasted boat like this is so sensitive to different wind conditions, I figured all owners would have strong opinions on the best way to control sail trim.
All other supplied hardware seemed to me to be sufficient and of good quality to control the rig. The clew outhaul controls the bottom third of these boats main driving sail yet how come no OEM control hardware is supplied?

As I 'foamed' the outer section of the boom (along with the mast) I needed to use an external solution instead of using the internal set up that was suggested in the owners manual.

What have other owners installed? Anything or do they just attach a bit of rope to the saddle the end of the boom?

This modification looks a lot more tidy than what I have. My outhaul is attached to the clew, and feeds through a shackle at the end of the boom. The outhaul is fastened to the boom with a simple cleat - which, by the way, is inconveniently placed so far forward up the boom that it gets in the way of my newly installed boom kicker.

I think I'm going to have to move the cleat back a few inches, and the sail slide looks like it would fix the separation between foot and boom that I've also noticed.

Yep, that CL 211 clamcleat towards the front of the boom was in the way of my BoomKicker also so I removed it and ultimately used it, with the addition of the CL814 ClamCleat Keeper (the black thing that surrounds the silver cleat) for the CL211 Clamcleat towards the back of my boom that you can see in the photos in my first post. Also that $1.50 sail slide really does the trick in keeping the foot of the mainsail close to your boom. I think this will give you better control of sail trim, particularly for windy days.
